Editorial standards

Good Black Men tells the stories of extraordinary Black men across business, sports, finance, technology, music, movies, medicine and law. The collection gives young people, families, mentors and educators a wider world of possibilities to explore.

Stories with substance

Our 401 biographies connect achievement to the work, choices, institutions and communities behind it. Each profile includes sources for further reading. This is a selective, celebratory editorial collection, not a ranking or a claim that any person is without flaws. Inclusion does not imply endorsement.

Art and attribution

Portraits and cinematic social images include artistic interpretations. They are illustrations, not documentary photographs. Source credits and applicable image licenses appear on the image credits page.
