Who operates this site
Good Black Men is operated by Forward Motion Inc. This policy describes the public Good Black Men website. It covers the site’s information practices, including the sharing tools available on its pages.
Information used to deliver the site
When you request a page or image, the hosting and access services process technical information needed to deliver it and protect the service. This can include your IP address, browser and device information, requested URLs, timestamps, and security or access records. The public website is hosted by Cloudflare Workers. EmDash manages editorial content in a Cloudflare D1 database, with editorial media stored in Cloudflare R2. Visitors do not need an account. Editor accounts use passkeys and secure session cookies; Good Black Men does not receive your device passkey or biometric information.
The site currently has no newsletter sign-up, visitor registration form, comments, checkout, or payment collection. The name search and field filters operate in your browser. Good Black Men does not send the text you enter in the collection search to an analytics or search service.
Cookies and tracking
Good Black Men does not currently load advertising scripts, analytics services, tracking pixels, social media SDKs, or third-party fonts. Its page code does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Hosting services may use cookies or similar technology for security and service operation. Editorial administration uses session cookies for authenticated editors. Their practices are governed by their own policies.
Reserved advertising spaces are placeholders. They do not load ads. If advertising, analytics, subscriptions, or other data-collecting features are introduced, this policy and any required choices will be updated before those features operate.
Social sharing and downloads
Social icons are local artwork, not embedded social network widgets. The page does not connect to a social network merely to display an icon. If you select a Facebook, X, or Pinterest link, your browser opens that service with the page URL and, where relevant, the page title or image URL. That service then processes your activity under its own policy.
Instagram and YouTube options prepare a caption and an image for you to use. Copying a caption writes it to your device’s clipboard when you request it. Downloading an image saves it through your browser. Nothing is posted to a social account automatically. Public profile links can be shared without signing in.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond, handle corrections or privacy requests, maintain necessary correspondence, and address security or legal issues. Please do not send account passwords, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information unless we arrange an appropriate method for a specific request.
How information is used and disclosed
Information may be used to provide and secure the site, manage editorial access, respond to requests, investigate abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Hosting and other service providers may process information for those purposes. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect people, the service, or legal rights.
Good Black Men does not sell visitor personal information or use visitor information for targeted advertising in this edition. Its social buttons do not authorize advertising tracking on the site.
Retention and security
We retain correspondence and records we control for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose involved, including responding to requests, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Hosting and account providers apply their own retention schedules to records they control. We do not promise that their technical records disappear immediately when you leave the site.
Access controls and reasonable operational safeguards help protect editorial accounts and site operation. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not share credentials or confidential information through social posts.
Children and family use
The editorial content may be useful to families, mentors, and educators. The site has no child registration, comments, uploads, or personalized advertising features, and does not ask children to submit personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
Your choices and requests
You may browse without using social sharing, decline downloads, and use your browser’s cookie controls. Blocking editorial session cookies may prevent editors from accessing the CMS; public reading does not require signing in. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other action concerning personal information. Send requests to the contact below. We may need reasonable information to verify your request, and legal exceptions may apply. Requests concerning information controlled by a hosting or account provider may need to be directed to that provider.
Other services
Links take you to services with their own terms and privacy practices. Good Black Men does not control those services. You can review the Cloudflare privacy policy for information about infrastructure services. Information processed by these services may be handled in the United States or other locations where they operate.
